United! @ City Stadium on June 5th

It's time to celebrate TOGETHER!

After two long years of not being able to gather, For Richmond invites everyone to United! @ City Stadium on Sunday, June 5th from 5-8 p.m.

From 5-7 p.m. we'll have a free community festival featuring bounce houses, face painting, arts and crafts, and music. We'll have FREE popcorn and cotton candy. Food trucks will be selling food, drinks and ice cream. Invite your friends, and enjoy sharing a meal and fun, family activities together!

At 7 p.m., the 220 diverse churches in the For Richmond network will join together for a time of prayer and worship. We'll celebrate all the great things God has done in and through the Church over the challenging past two years and we'll pray for the future of Metro Richmond. You won't want to miss this opportunity for united worship and prayer with Christians from all over the community! We'll also share a new video highlighting how churches have partnered to address foster care, support schools, welcome Afghan evacuees, and engage in racial healing.

We'll be updating this page with the list of food trucks, performers, etc. Save the date, invite your friends, and check back soon for more details!

This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required.

We are so excited to announce that Makeda McCreary, formerly of Urban Doxology and currently with Spring Creek Baptist Church will be leading the worship band for United! @ City Stadium on June 5th, along with friends from The Life Church RVA, East End Fellowship, Third Church, The Chapel and the Black Awakening Choir at VCU.

A little more about Makeda:

Makeda studied classical piano at Shenandoah Conservatory before switching to contemporary music studies at Berklee College of Music. In 2016, Makeda joined Arrabon, an organization designed to equip and empower communities for reconciliation, as the Creative Director for the Urban Doxology Songwriting Internship. There she taught young people ages 18-25 how to engage in Jesus, Justice, and Reconciliation through songwriting. These past 5 years she has had the honor of traveling across the country teaching songwriting, worship leading skills, bridge building through music and worship, and how to equip worship leaders to write intentionally for their communities.

Currently, she serves as the Worship & Arts Director at her home church, Spring Creek Baptist Church in Moseley, Virginia.

In her downtime, you can find Makeda reading fantasy fiction, doing puzzles very slowly, and adding to her Netflix watch list.
